MEDICAL, DENTAL, AND VISION PLANS OFFERED 

Medical Insurance – Full time employees are offered our three medical plan options to select from through BlueCross and BlueShield of South Carolina. Canners contributes greatly to each of these plans competitively. Our employees can select the High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) or PPO Plan that suits their family the best. 

Health Savings Account (HSA) - A HSA is a tax-advantage account that you and your employer can put money into to save for future eligible medical, dental and vision expenses. Canners is proud to contribute $700 for individuals and $1,400 for families enrolled in our High Deductible Health Plan. 

BENEFITS PROVIDED AT NO COST TO EMPLOYEES 

Basic Life Insurance – Full-time employees receive group life insurance coverage from Sun Life. 

Basic AD&D Insurance- Full-time employees receive accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance from Sun Life. 

Short Term Disability (STD) - Offers up to 26 weeks of partial income replacement (up to 60% of salary) when you are unable to work due to sickness or injury. 

Long Term Disability (LTD) - For longer periods of disability, the LTD Plan can provide protection up to 60% of your salary. 

Employee Assistance Program (EAP) – All employees have access to licensed professional counselors to assist with work, personal or financial related issues through McLaughlin & Young.

FSA - Employees can contribute pretax dollars to a Health Care and/or Dependent Care Spending Account 

Dental – Full time employees are offered dental insurance from Sun Life. Coverage is offered on a voluntary basis. 

Vision – Full time employees are offered vision insurance through Sun Life utilizing the VSP Network. Coverage is offered on a voluntary basis.

 Voluntary Life and AD&D - Employees who want to supplement their group life and AD&D insurance benefits may purchase additional coverage.

401k:  Full time employees are eligible to participate in our 401k program that offers a company match.

Paid Time Off: to include Vacation and Holidays

Wellness Program - The Wellness Program provides our employees with onsite health screenings held periodically. For the 2024 plan year, there will be a standard rate and a wellness rate for health insurance. By completing the wellness activities, employees will receive the wellness rate.
